We're James and Jessica Asa, the husband-and-wife team behind Weiland Electric Division.

Weiland Electric Division was built on a simple idea: do good work, treat people right, and take pride in what you do.

​

Since 2007, we've been serving Springfield and communities throughout Lane County with dependable electrical service for homes, businesses, property managers, contractors, and larger commercial projects.

Meet James

The Electrician

James is the owner and lead electrician at Weiland Electric Division. He's been working in the electrical trade since 1994, bringing decades of hands-on experience to every project.

​

Over the years, James has worked on everything from everyday service calls to large and complex commercial projects. His experience includes work at RiverBend Hospital, the Oregon State Hospital, the Oregon State Penitentiary, the University of Oregon, SAIF Corporation, and Hayward Field.  That experience has taught him something important: every job matters.

​

Whether it's troubleshooting an electrical problem in a home, helping a business keep its doors open, or taking on a larger commercial project, James believes in doing the work safely, correctly, and with the same attention to detail every time.

Meet Jessica

The Business Behind WED

Jessica is the other half of WED and keeps the business running behind the scenes.

With more than 30 years of experience in management and customer service, Jessica brings a different—but equally important—set of skills to the company.

​

She handles the office side of the business, including billing, customer communication, scheduling, and all the details that help keep projects moving.

​

Together, James and Jessica bring a combination of electrical experience, business experience, and a genuine commitment to taking care of their customers.

If you've found us through social media, there's a good chance you've already met Sam.  Sam is our black lab, WED's unofficial mascot, and probably the most popular member of the team.

She doesn't bend conduit, pull wire, or troubleshoot breakers—but she is excellent at supervising, greeting visitors, and reminding everyone that sometimes you need to take a break and throw the ball.

You'll see Sam pop up from time to time on our social media and around WED.

She's family, too.
